Scheduled
We will be moving the code running the Akvo Sites to a new server on our new infrastructure.

This migration is the second (and probably final) step in a series of server infrastructure updates being performed to provide better stability for the Akvo Sites installation and reduce or eliminate the service outages we've been seeing over the last few months.

The outages on the current Apache-based setup seem to be caused when some web clients hang onto their connections too long and this locks out any new connections from being made, which then causes the unresponsiveness of the various sites. From our investigations we believe that updating this server to use the newer nginx-based configuration (similar to that already in place for the Akvo RSR and Akvo.org servers) will improve or eliminate these rogue web client locks or at least handle them more gracefully.

This migration also allows us to have improved monitoring of the Akvo Sites availability.
